Understanding the different types of retirement plans that law firms can add to their suite of benefits. While this session will provide an overview of the available plan types, there will be a strong focus on 401(k) and profit-sharing plans. The session will dive deep into the fiduciary responsibilities one has when offering a retirement plan. We will provide helpful tips on how to better understand your retirement plan fees and how to identify if pricing is fair and competitive. The session will also touch upon some of the changing regulations firms need to be mindful of with Secure 2.0. Throughout this presentation you will:
Articulate the types of retirement plans available to law firms,
Pros and cons of each
Understand retirement plan fees (strong focus on 401(k) plans as they are the most common plan type)
Understand the different types of investments (actively managed vs. passively managed)
